Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth Gutted Archie Not Coming To UK With Prince Harry This Year

Queen Elizabeth British Family news reveals even though Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex is expected to make not one, not two, but three visits to the UK this year, it looks like his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie Harrison will stay behind in California, much to the dismay of Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family. At least, that’s what some reports say. Here’s what you need to know.

Queen Elizabeth Reportedly Gutted That Meghan Markle And Archie Harrison Are Staying In California

According to reports, there were earlier rumors suggesting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were looking to visit the royal family this summer in the U.K. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were planning on celebrating both Queen Elizabeth’s 95th birthday and Prince Philip’s 100th birthday.

The couple were also looking to be on hand for the unveiling of a Princess Diana statue in Kensington Palace on what would have been her 60th birthday, too.

Yet, it now looks like Prince Harry will be making the trip alone. According to royal expert and author Omid Scobie, he explains why Meghan won’t be joining Prince Harry in England this summer. He says that it mostly has to do with logistics.

He told the Daily Mail, “Meghan wouldn’t want to be away from Archie, and it would be very tricky to factor a small child into their travels with all the restrictions that could potentially be in place.”

Scobie also added that the royal couple’s plans are “up in the air” because of COVID-19. It would be “easier for the duke to do the trip solo.”

British Royal News – What’s Next For Harry And Meghan?

So far neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle have confirmed or denied the reports, nor have they said anything about their upcoming travel plans. Seeing how Covid-19 is still very much a threat in many parts of the world, there’s a good chance that they might change their plans again.

Unfortunately though, this would mark the second year that Queen Elizabeth and the other senior members of the royal family have not seen Archie Harrison, who will turn two in May. The last time that the young royal tot was in the UK was during the fall of 2019.
