Royal family feeling ‘bewildered and betrayed’ after Prince Harry’s latest attack

The royal family has been left feeling shocked, bewildered, and betrayed by Prince Harry’s recent scathing attack on his upbringing, according to inside sources.

On Friday, the Duke of Sussex appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast for a wide-ranging chat in which he blasted Prince Charles’ parenting and blamed the Queen for his mental health issues.

Critics accused him of throwing his family “under the bus” through his remarks and now members inside the royal inner circle have also spoken out.

“People are appalled that he could do this to the Queen when the Duke of Edinburgh is barely in his grave,” a royal aide told The Mail on Sunday.

The aide added that there was a feeling of “bewilderment and betrayal” in the royal palace after the stinging interview.

“To drag his grandfather into this is so shocking and disrespectful,” they added.

The Duke suggested Charles had “suffered” because of his upbringing by the Queen and Prince Philip, and that his father “treated me the way he was treated”, calling it “genetic pain”.

‘” I don’t think we should be pointing the finger or blaming anybody, but certainly when it comes to parenting, if I’ve experienced some form of pain or suffering because of the pain or suffering that perhaps my father or my parents had suffered, I’m going to make sure I break that cycle so that I don’t pass it on, basically,” Harry said.

“It’s a lot of genetic pain and suffering that gets passed on anyway so we as parents should be doing the most we can to try and say ‘you know what, that happened to me, I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.”

He also admitted he first wanted to quit royal duties in his “early 20s” because of “what it did” to his mother, Princess Diana.

He also implied the Queen had caused a decline in his mental health.

“And here I am, I moved my whole family to the US, that wasn’t the plan but sometimes you’ve got make decisions and put your family first and put your mental health first,” he said.

The royal aide wasn’t the only one who was outraged by the explosive podcast.

Royal commentator Robert Jobson accused the royal of throwing his family “under the bus.”

“Forgive me, but he’s been a dad for how long? Perhaps he should pen a book on how to parent properly drawing on his wealth of experience? For ‘charity’ of course,” he wrote.
