A number of publications recently reported the Chained to the Rhythm singer and actor Ryan Phillippe were “giggling and flirting” at Elton John’s birthday party last month and paparazzi went into a frenzy in the hopes of getting a photo of the two of them. But, Phillippe was well and truly over it when paparazzi in helicopters started hovering over his house in the hopes of catching out his rumoured new “girlfriend” Katy Perry.
Taking to Twitter, the actor ranted about the rumours — using all caps for emphasis.
I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE.
thx

And, if anybody understands what it’s like to experience something like that, it’d be Katy Perry herself and the singer took to Twitter to commiserate with her “rumoured” beau.

While Katy Perry might’ve laughed off the rumours she also decided to have a little fun of her own, asking Phillippe to let her out of the basement.
Can u let me out of this basement pls? https://t.co/I2WKOsIxak

Katy Perry is recently single after breaking up with actor Orlando Bloom last month.
The pair released a joint statement to US Weekly confirming the split.
“Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time,” the statement said.
When rumours about why they broke up started to get nasty, Perry again used Twitter to slam those trying to create drama.
HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017⁉️U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all!?
