Sandeep Reddy has been promoted to chief financial officer of Guess Inc. He succeeds Dennis Secor, who left the firm in December to become executive vice president and cfo of Fossil Group Inc. The cfo post had been filled on an interim basis by Nigel Kershaw, previously vice president of finance and accounting. Kershaw will leave Guess on July 31.
Reddy joined Guess in September 2010 and has served as cfo for Guess’s European operations since that time. In his new capacity, he will report to Paul Marciano, cofounder and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles-based denim and sportswear firm, and serve on the company’s executive leadership team.
Prior to joining Guess, Reddy spent 13 years with Mattel and held senior financial posts for the firm in Europe and the U.S. “Sandeep brings deep European and North American business and finance experience,” Marciano said. “He understands the Guess culture and has an excellent track record for developing and executing financial and business strategy.”
Marciano said in March that Guess would fill the post of chief operating officer, which has been vacant since the departure of Michael Prince last year.
Guess hired Sharleen Ernster Lazear, formerly of Victoria’s Secret, as chief design officer in April, a month after enlisting the services of Hillary Super as senior vice president and general merchandise manager.
