Scarlett Johansson Just Made The Most Shocking Announcement EVER!

Scarlett Johansson is opening up about her career controversies in a recent interview. Speaking to “The Gentlewoman,” the actress admitted that she found some of her career mishaps “embarrassing.”

Some of Johansson’s most memorable moments are the most controversial–and it’s not exactly a short list. Johansson was famously cast in Ghost in the Shell, a part that led to accusations of “whitewashing,” with many insisting that the role should have gone to an Asian actor.

She also was cast as a transgender character in Rub and Tug, a role that she ended up giving up after public criticism. And these are not the only times Johansson has caused a stir; she also defended Woody Allen despite accusations of sexual abuse.

She commented on these controversies during the interview, saying that she “made a career out of it.”

Johansson told the outlet that she’s not exactly proud of her past mistakes.

“I’m going to have opinions about things, because that’s just who I am,” she said. “I mean, everyone has a hard time admitting when they’re wrong about stuff, and for all of that to come out publicly, it can be embarrassing. To have the experience of, Wow, I was really off mark there, or I wasn’t looking at the big picture, or I was inconsiderate.”

It doesn’t sound like she is too ashamed of these controversies though. “I’m also a person,” she continued.

She added that “self-awareness” can be difficult for her, but she’s working on it.

For Johansson, she said that “recognizing when it’s not your turn to speak” is a challenge. She explained, “I can be reactive. I can be impatient. That doesn’t mix that great with self-awareness.”
