Selena Gomez, 23, wants Justin Bieber, 21, to know he missed his second chance! It may have seemed like she caught Justin off guard when she started seeing Niall Horan, 22, especially after she had spent a romantic weekend with JB just weeks before. But a source tells us that while Sel didn’t mean to upset Justin, she wants him to realize things might be different if he had just made a commitment to her upon reuniting!
“[Selena] explained to Justin that it was never her intention to hurt him and that things with Niall just happened naturally,” an insider revealed to HollywoodLife. “She begged him not to be angry at Niall and not to think that he tried to deliberately try and betray him. Selena told him that Niall never tried to go behind his back, and that had she been in a committed relationship with [Justin] this never would have happened in the first place.”
As soon as Justin heard that Niall and Selena were spotted making out at Jenna Dewan’s birthday party on Dec. 4, sources said that JB was totally shocked that Selena had seemingly moved on – and with one of his close buddies! It was hard enough for Justin to see his girl be taken by another guy, but considering he and Niall have been friends for a while, he felt betrayal from both sides of the Selena/Niall relationship. Then again, if Justin wouldn’t fully give his heart to Selena, we can’t really blame her for trying things out with Niall!
Besides, if Justin really is upset with Selena, he’s not publicly showing it. The Biebs flirted on Instagram with a pretty girl named Cindy Kimberly on Dec. 8, and just one day later, he was seen partying with several hot girls on a yacht! That’s certainly not any way to convince Sel that you do want to commit, JB!
To make Selena’s case even stronger, Niall is ready to commit to Sel, unlike Justin. Another insider told us that Niall even confessed to Sel that he has been waiting for her to want a relationship with him for quite some time! It seems that’s something she was missing from Justin, and now that she has let The Biebs know that, we just hope she gets the commitment she has been wanting from Niall instead!
