It looks like Sir David Beckham might be ready to bury the hatchet, or at least take a step in that direction, following what’s been a rocky patch with his eldest son, Brooklyn.

Over the weekend, sharp-eyed fans spotted what seemed like a subtle olive branch on Instagram, and it’s got people talking.

David, fresh from receiving a knighthood from King Charles III, joined in the online celebrations after his wife Victoria shared a heartfelt tribute to him. In her post, she called him her “knight in shining armour” and gushed about his unwavering dedication to his country, his work, and most of all, his family. She added, “The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are… I’m so, so proud to call you mine.”

But what really caught fans’ attention was David’s comment underneath the post. While it was short and sweet — “I love you all” — it included a tag for Brooklyn. Given their reported tensions, that small gesture felt anything but insignificant, reported Page Six.

David and Victoria’s other sons, Romeo and Cruz, had already taken to their Instagram Stories to show their love and pride for their dad’s huge milestone. Romeo shared a smiling snap with his father, writing, “So proud of you dad love you x.” Cruz added, “I’m so proud dad I love you. Sir David Beckham has a nice ring to it.” Meanwhile, Brooklyn has stayed quiet on social media, not posting anything publicly about his dad’s new title.

According to insiders, that silence doesn’t necessarily mean Brooklyn isn’t happy for his father. One source said he’s “so happy for his dad” and understands how much the honour meant to him. But things still seem a bit awkward. Apparently, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz only found out about the knighthood through the media. “There was no communication and no one from the family reached out,” a source revealed.

This isn’t exactly coming out of nowhere. Brooklyn and Nicola’s relationship with the Beckhams has reportedly been strained ever since their extravagant wedding in Palm Beach back in 2022. Although the family tried to present a united front, rumours of tension never really went away.

Those whispers flared up again recently when Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from both of David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year. A source at the time noted the couple “never go to Beckham family events anymore” and haven’t made much effort to stay connected, even skipping out on visiting David and Victoria.

So while David’s Instagram tag might seem small, in a family that’s been under a lot of public scrutiny, it’s enough to get people wondering. Could this be the start of a thaw in their frosty relationship? Or just a polite gesture for the sake of appearances? Either way, fans are watching closely — and hoping for a family reunion sometime soon.
