Suki Waterhouse is the new face of Burberry, according to speculation this morning. Neither the model’s agent, nor a Burberry spokesperson, were able to comment on the rumours. The British fashion house traditionally announces news of its autumn/winter campaign line-ups in July.
If true, the British beauty would follow in the footsteps of school friend Cara Delevingne, who is currently the face of the brand, as well as Emma Watson, Eddie Redmayne, Roo Panes, Kate Moss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Douglas Booth – and, most recently, Romeo Beckham – all of whom have appeared in Burberry’s adverts over the years. The label is known for casting young rising stars in its campaigns, whether actors and actresses or musicians and models.
The 20-year-old, known for her Sixties mod style, has previously fronted campaigns for Marks & Spencer and Pepe Jeans London. She was seen on the Burberry show front row in February this year. – vogue
