Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is set to launch her own fashion brand called Alé by Alessandra. The Victoria’s Secret beauty has been busy creating a mid-priced womenswear range comprised of bohemian-styled feminine jackets, dresses and bright colored denim.
Miss Ambrosio, 31, told WWD that she still plans on modelling lingerie ‘but at the same time this is a business transition that I plan to have around for a long time.’ Her clothing label will hit stores across Latin America in spring 2014 and a U.S. release date has not been confirmed.
Miss Ambrosio, who splits her time between New York and Los Angeles, added: ‘This is not a hobby for me. I’ve been a fashion model for 15 years and designing is just an extension of my career.
‘I know what I like and what I want to see. I want to be satisfied just as much as the customer. ‘I’ve been a fashion model for 15 years and designing is just an extension of my career’ ‘I’m creating a brand that’s everything that I am passionate about and have experience in, from growing up in Brazil, travelling around the world and moving here five years ago.’ – DailyMail
