Whoopi Goldberg Issued A Stern Warning To Budweiser After It Caved To The MAGA Backlash Over Dylan Mulvaney

Whoopi Goldberg was not pleased to see Anheuser-Busch appear to give in to the Trump backlash during The View’s discussion of the GOP outrage over a recent Bud Light campaign featuring trans activist Dylan Mulvaney.

Anheuser-Busch replied with a fresh commercial starring its famed Clydesdale horses after Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, and other conservative figures started calling for a boycott of the brewer.

The narrator declared, “This is a story bigger than beer.” This is the tale of the American spirit, so to speak. Sunny Hostin, the co-host, was not pleased.

The Clydesdale horses were then suddenly released, as if to say, “Let’s get the horses out since the horses are so much more American than trans people.” At the conclusion of the conversation, the corporation also released a statement that Goldberg found objectionable.

Via Deadline:

“We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history supporting our communities, military, first responders, sports fans and hard-working Americans everywhere,” the statement said. “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”

We’re all Americans here, Budweiser, Goldberg added. No matter if it’s light or regular, we appreciate your beer. Do not be terrified by them. Let us frighten you.

The apparent capitulation of Budweiser is an intriguing development given that conservatives were already subtly reversing their boycott.

Why? As it turns out, one of the biggest Republican funders is Anheuser-Busch. Surprisingly, it appears as though Donald Trump, Jr. may have had a hunch before blasting beer cans. However, nobody thought to check on that. Who anticipated that?
