Prince William and Kate Middleton Reportedly Settle Heated Debate Over Prince George’s Future

After months of careful consideration, Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly made a final decision regarding the future education of their eldest son, Prince George. According to a source who spoke with MailOnline, the Prince and Princess of Wales have “come to an agreement” about George’s next academic chapter.

Currently attending Lambrook School in Berkshire alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Prince George will now follow a familiar royal path—he is set to attend Eton College, the prestigious all-boys boarding school that his father, Prince William, once attended.

The royal couple’s decision follows much speculation and several visits to potential schools. An insider revealed details about their recent trip to Eton, which hinted at the seriousness of their intent.

“It was like, ‘I know something and the people at Eton know something, but I’m not going to tell you’. That was after William and Kate visited Eton,” the source told the outlet. During the visit, the Princess of Wales reportedly took a particular interest in the arts and extracurricular programs offered by the school.

The source added that Kate spent time “talking to two of the teachers there, including the Head of Drama,” and asked specific questions about “drama curriculum and extracurricular activities and what opportunities there might be for appearing in school plays.”

This attention to the creative programs may reflect Kate’s desire to ensure that Prince George receives a well-rounded education that nurtures both academic and personal growth.

It’s notable that the decision may not have been entirely without debate. Kate Middleton reportedly favored Marlborough College—her own alma mater—as a potential school for George. Sending him there would have broken from royal tradition and could have allowed Princess Charlotte to join her older brother later, maintaining a sense of familial closeness.

Still, Eton appears to have won out, perhaps in part due to its historical significance and deep connections to the royal family. The choice aligns George with both his father and uncle, Prince Harry, who were educated at the elite institution.

While Kensington Palace has yet to officially confirm the reports, the family’s apparent final decision on George’s schooling marks a significant step as the young royal begins to navigate the path laid before him, one steeped in both tradition and expectation.
