Prince William stuns fans as he ‘makes Diana proud’ in new project

PRINCE WILLIAM has won over royal fans with his latest Instagram post dedicated to Scottish food delivery service, PEEK.

The Duke was due to be visiting the PEEK Project (Possibilities for each and every kid) in Glasgow this week, however, due to lockdown restrictions opted to video call them instead. In the footage, William joked with community chef Charlie Farrally about how difficult dinner times are with his young children when there’s something on the table they don’t like.

During the call, Mr Farrally said: “You’ll know yourself, the hardest time is dinner time.”

Father-of-three William laughed and replied: “It depends what’s on the table.

“If parents put something on that children love, dinner time goes very well.

“But if you put something on the table they don’t want to do, that’s another ball game.”

The project then gave the prince a virtual tour of their food truck Peekachew, named by the children it helps and hailed the “incredible” efforts of  Mr Farrally.

Before going on to praise CEO of the business Michaela, and promising her that when he visits Glasgow will stop by for an in-person visit.

He said: “What a brilliant rise, I think that’s absolutely fantastic. You are the embodiment of what can be done.

“I hope when I find myself up in Glasgow in the near future I can come and see you guys in person and congratulate you.”

William listened as the company explained how it is “taking the pressure off parents” that are currently dealing with the current effects of the coronavirus on children with complex needs.

The Duke also spoke to Corinne Hutton, who founded the charity Finding Your Feet.

Ms Hutton was told she had only a five per cent chance of surviving sepsis in 2013 and had her hand amputated and legs amputated below the knees.

The duke told her: “You’re a huge inspiration. I’m so pleased the NET have found you and you’ve found them and that relationship is helping.”

Also on the video chat was Stephen McAtamany, one of the charity’s beneficiaries, who had his left leg amputated below the knee in 1988 after a motorbike accident and now sports a leopard-print limb.

The Instagram post from the Kensington Palace Instagram account was captioned: “Taking a look inside the @Peek_Project food truck…
