Zayn Malik is NOT embarking on a rap career anytime soon, nor is Harry Styles leaving One Direction, despite a wholly fabricated report. Gossip Cop is exclusively told by a member of One Direction’s camp that the claims are NOT true.
The rumors were manufactured by HollywoodLife, a site that has been repeatedly exposed for lying. According to the latest fiction from the webloid, Malik is shortly going to pursue a solo career, with plans to become “a rap star.” The unreliable blog claims this will happen after Styles’ supposed imminent departure.
“The lads are already making plans after One Direction,” a made-up “source” is quoted as saying, adding, “Liam [Payne] and Niall [Horan] are hoping to work together on new projects.” The webloid’s phony “source” notes that Styles has been recording in L.A. and London and his solo effort is a “lot edgier.”
This is all very interesting, but entirely inaccurate. Remember, this is the same site that Gossip Cop recently busted for reporting that Styles and Taylor Swift were again secretly dating. Shorthand: HollywoodLies, er, HollywoodLife’s so-called sources know NOTHING about Styles or other members of One Direction.
Conversely, Gossip Cop’s One Direction insider tells us exclusively that Malik and Styles are “both in the studio working on new material for the new One Direction album.” And, as for other reports about Liam and Louis Tomlinson are working with Good Charlotte and Nickleback, we hear that’s also for the same One Direction album. Gossip Cop is told the guys often “work separately and bring the songs to each other when deciding what’s going to be recorded for the album.”
