Heidi Klum was on presenting duties and called on Donatella Versace to provide her with not one but nine Versace dresses to wear throughout the course of the evening, including designs from the spring/summer 2013 and autumn/winter 2012-13 collections. Rita Ora made an impact in a voluminous Marchesa scarlet gown, while Taylor Swift chose an ethereal J. Mendel number.
As is tradition with music award shows, the night’s performers switched from their red carpet gowns to something a little sassier to perform live – boots, both knee-high and beyond, proved a popular choice worn with short hemlines.
