Screening of Serena by The Cinema Society

Jennifer Lawrence at last night’s Dior Beauty sponsored Cinema Society screening of Serena. The Dior Haute Couture clad beauty was referring to Bradley Cooper, of course, her costar in the Susanne Bier–directed 1930s period drama. The pair acted as a husband and wife forging a timber empire in violent tandem in North Carolina in the bleak, industry-minded romance.

The screening brought the likes of Josh Lucas, Tali Lennox, Dylan Lauren, and Vogue’s own Grace Coddington to the East Village’s Landmark Sunshine Cinema. “I read the script while we were working on Silver Linings Playbook,” explained Lawrence just minutes before the screening started, “And any male role is going to make me think of Bradley because he is the best.” “We never [bicker].
