Reese Witherspoon, Olivia Wilde, Amber Heard, and More Try On Tiffany’s Blue Book Collection

ABC Kitchen was all a-twinkle on Wednesday night with a heady combination of Hollywood stars and Tiffany diamonds. New York City’s and a few of Los Angeles’s brightest came to celebrate the jewelry stalwart’s annual Blue Book Collection, the first by design director Francesca Amfitheatrof. “It takes me a year and a half to make this collection and then it gets whisked off by clients every season so it’s so nice to invite friends and family just to come celebrate it and see it and try it on and play with it.” The sea-inspired collection was on display in a secluded area near the back of the restaurant, and eager guests tried on various pieces to pose for portraits by photographer Jessica Craig-Martin. For Leandra Medine, ripple-inspired diamond Pool bracelets; a sapphire-accented ring for Indre Rockefeller; pearl-bedecked cuffs for Claire Distenfeld.

Meanwhile, a few other attendees wore their bling all evening. Reese Witherspoon’s emerald-cut tourmaline pendant was the main attraction of her outfit, accented with a figure-flattering Stella McCartney sheath. Olivia Wilde’s diamond drop earrings struggled to compete with her floral-embellished and fringed Marchesa frock. Amber Heard looked like she’d just rolled out of bed with her gems, pairing her tourmaline and diamonds with tousled bedhead and the sexiest slip dress by The Row.

Misty CopelandOnly in town for a few days, Witherspoon celebrated the arrival of spring in New York City with a tour of the new Whitney Museum. (Tiffany recently signed on as sponsor of the museum’s biennial through 2021.)

“It felt like such a privilege, and it was very moving,” said Witherspoon. “There is a place to screen films and they have made such an effort to include a lot of women artists and women of color. The space is really incredible and it’s right on the High Line.” Fortunately, Witherspoon was seated next to the museum’s director Adam Weinberg at dinner so she could gush further (Victor Cruz was Weinberg’s other dinner partner so he was well taken care of).

Casey Fremont Crowe, Jamie Prentice, and Eddie BorgoOlivia Wilde chatted with Prabal Gurung throughout the predictably delicious four-course meal. While Amfitheatrof happily speared her ricotta ravioli and said of the evening, “It just allows us to have a moment where we’re really relaxed with the collection and for everyone to sort of enjoy it and see it before it just goes pouf and it’s gone!” And, as is the mark of all New York City dinners, once the strawberry dessert was served, guests grabbed their Tiffany blue gift bags and pouf! They were gone.
