Akris Ready to wear Fall/Winter 2011 Collection – Paris

Akris fall ready-to-wear collection 2011 at Paris Fashion Week had two definite streaks, the one with an edgy architectural feel, created with the work of Joseph Maria Olbrich, specifically his Wedding Tower, the quirky building in Darmstadt, Germany. The most obvious references were the photographic prints that appeared on a long wool dress and a floor-length cape among other items.

The rest of the fall ready-to-wear 2011 collection  by Akris was a pure luxury, laden with expensive wool jerseys and double-face cashmeres worked in warm autumnal colors. There was a rustic softness in beginning with some divine chunky cashmere knitwear. The only adornment was the zipper detail front to back on one shoulder that reflected an utmost type of modern luxury.
