Amanda Wakeley looked to the Bedouins for her collection, which was full of breezy pieces and supple fabrics that were meant to be layered. The desert influence came through in a luxurious poncho and suede bomber jacket, as well as reversible sleeveless leather jackets with faux fur and sheepskin details inspired by cold desert nights. There were separates galore: merino knits in an earthy, a blanket skirt; flared leather jeans, and jogging pants.
Offsetting the relaxed pieces was a sharply tailored white tuxedo with roomy trousers and a pinstripe suit. For evening, there were dresses, full skirts and voluminous gowns in fluorescent orange, white, silver and black. The standout was a black gown with a delicate lace bodice.
