In a bid to recapture the brand’s younger consumer base, Cacharel’s second collection under its new design studio went in a very different direction from its first. The designs featured an abundance of Italian mosaic motifs and exotic fruits and floral patterns in bright and pastel shades. Stretch silk and poplin were used for a number of dresses in various shapes and volumes, while blue-and-white striped cotton and chunky off-white knits also stood out. Highlights included a printed sheer silk bomber jacket and a yellow striped printed A-line skirt and matching crop top with a breezy vibe. Both would suit the label’s young, whimsical yet streetwise target consumer to a T.
