Elie Saab Spring Bridal Collection for Fashion show New York 2017
For his house’s first foray into bridalwear, Elie Saab took cues from his ready-to-wear collections, offering silhouettes that ranged from traditional to daring. The former took the shape of voluminous tulle and satin ballgowns covered in dégradé beading or accented with floral embroidery and appliqués.
A few styles rendered in dotted tulle lent the lineup a playful spirit, as did a floor-length sheer lace gown that revealed a cheeky, ruffled miniskirt beneath. Ostrich feather clutches and ivory ballet flats offered a modern complement to the looks throughout.
Oh, and the daring? That would be that long-sleeve, floral-lace embroidered jumpsuit with a sweetheart neckline – reserved for the coolest of brides.
