Elizabeth Fillmore took her soft, feminine touch to the Seventies for fall. “They’re romantic, but they’re still cool girls. They’re always going to have a sense of elegance,” she said of her brides.Fillmore’s bohemian lineup was tinged with hints of color, texture and romance. A sheer lace dress with pink floral embroidery and blouson sleeves nodded to Ossie Clark, and other long-sleeve, high-neck silhouettes recalled prim Victorian styles, though light fabrics and whimsical embroideries kept the vibe youthful and modern.

A slinky crepe slipdress decorated with rose and butterfly embroidery which Fillmore nicknamed “Love and Rockets”seemed fit for a rock star’s wife.Ditto for the ivory pantsuit in fluid, hammered silk with softly tailored shoulders worn over a floral lace turtleneck blouse.
