Ganni’s pre-fall collection was a celebration of Tokyo a city that stole the heart of creative director Ditte Reffstrup during her visit earlier this year. Reffstrup was particularly struck by the range of personal styles she encountered on the streets, from eccentric Gothic Lolita and Decora incarnations to stark minimalism.
She parlayed those influences into her sporty-chic collection in a few ways, most obviously in the bright orange floral prints seen on sporty quilted silk bombers and in riffs on traditional silhouettes such as a kimono-style belted jacket. The collection’s athletic spirit crewneck sweatshirts;striped track pants and boxing shorts juxtaposed nicely against its flirty silk separates and off-the-shoulder linen dresses.
