Pre-Fall Collection 2015 by Fashion label House of Holland

This youthful, color drenched collection tapped into a tough, street-inspired mood, with designer Henry Holland citing the Nineties British cartoon character Tank Girl and the Seventies Scottish band Bay City Rollers as among his freewheeling inspirations. Tartans and checks were mainstays, but Holland put a rebellious spin on tradition. One dress in a green-and-black houndstooth resembled a shawl haphazardly wrapped around the body, while a T-shirt dress was done in a patchwork of blue, purple and acid green tartan.
The designer said he also wanted to nod to Asia 30 percent of his business is there which came through in silky dresses in clashing red and pink inspired by Thai boxing robes and a dress covered in cartoonish Japanese style doodles. The more is more spirit was also evident in looks inspired by Japan’s dekotora trucks, which are customized with flashing neon lights and spray painted murals, interpreted here as a leather parka with stripes of blue and white spray paint and a purple fur hood.
