J.Mendel 2016 Fall Bridal Collection

Gilles Mendel’s fall bridal collection comprised 11 gowns with a range of silhouettes designed  to suit the brand’s growing clientele and all demonstrated his knack for restrained modern elegance. After introducing fuller princess skirts into his spring lineup, Mendel worked a few ballgowns into the mix again this season, most of them done in the house’s signature hand-pleated tulle. One slinky V-neck gown covered in dégradé sequins and the only look with embellishment came with a detachable tulle skirt, and an ethereal pleated gown in a pale pink silk chiffon and Lurex blend had a gorgeous sheen.

Mendel also offered a few structured column gowns with architectural seaming for the bride who wants to feel more contained.The winning look was a fitted bustier gown with a mermaid skirt in layered silk organza, juxtaposing all that structure with a soft, romantic finish.
