Lela Rose 2016 Fall Bridal Collection

In her ultrafeminine fall bridal collection, Lela Rose worked a range of textural fabrics, such as silver metallic fil coupé and silk jacquard with subtle pink undertones, on A-line, mermaid and fit-and-flare silhouettes. One standout gown with an open V-shaped back featured waxed, threaded embroidered tulle in a floral pattern, but even Rose’s less-embellished looks an off-the-shoulder satin gown with cascading pearl trim and a tulle train, for example proved equally elegant.

Large-scale paper flower sculptures, created especially for the presentation at the Lehmann Maupin gallery in Chelsea, matched the hand-cut floral appliqués that covered a pair of frothy dresses, one in a halter-neck style and the other strapless, calf-length, and even more darling.
