Spring Bridal 2016 Collection by Fashion Designer Lela Rose
Enchanting. Light. Ethereal. Those were the words Lela Rose used to describe her spring bridal collection, presented at the charming restaurant Claudette in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, which quickly became packed and impassable with waiters, photographers and editors. Rose drew inspiration from the 19th-century Scottish illustrator Jessie M. King, known for her sophisticated children’s drawings. Intricate crystal-dusted embroidery, feathers, pearl beading and matelassé techniques added surface interest to the gowns, some of which had sheer illusion necklines. A long-sleeve, high-neck gown finished with corded organza lace best captured the collection’s hopelessly romantic spirit.
