Lena Hoschek Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

Berlin Fashion week started very well this morning with a show of the Austrian fashion designer Lena Hoschek. Still inspired by the 50′s, in a vintage and feminine spirit, she presented yellow and red corduroys pants, pencil skirts, british inspired square patterns and floral patterns.

A cadillac starts its engine. Glaring red lips, black eyeliner, and a great deal of rock n’ roll, that’s Lena Hoschek’s everyday business. Since her childhood days, she has been fascinated by glamorous movie icons of the 40s and 50s: Sophia Loren or Marilyn Monroe, women who were sexy, self-confident, but also a bit self-ironic. Her designs skillfully combine nostalgic patterns and high end tailoring with her passion for punk music, bad guys, and fast cars. Sensual but fierce and always with a sense of tradition that’s Lena Hoschek.

At the age of 24, she started her own label in Graz, and within only five years Lena Hoschek came to international fame. In September 2010 she celebrated the opening of her third store. Next to the shops in Graz and Vienna, she is now also represented in Berlin Mitte.
