Fall Ready-To-Wear London Fashion Week 2015 Collection by Fashion designer Mulberry
The brand’s newly named creative director Johnny Coca has yet to arrive, so it was Mulberry’s in-house design team that turned out an elegant, polished collection of textured winter warmers. Swirling patterns were hand painted onto a light pink tumbled wool coat, or embroidered — and painted — onto a white boucle tweed one.
A needle-punching technique was employed a soft coat made from a patchwork of hair calf and felted wool, while an A-line alpaca dress had been brushed with a bed of thistles to draw out the wool fibers creating a slightly fuzzy surface.
Accessories were a lighthearted riff on last season’s models, including a mini Jamie bucket bag done in crocodile embossed leather and hair calf, and one number that will have Mulberry’s cash registers singing: The Roxette bag, covered in powder pink or dark gray curly sheepskin, like a cuddly toy.
