Oscar de la Renta Bridal Fall 2015 Collection

When it comes to bridal coups, Oscar de la Renta is the man of the hour after Amal Alamuddin chose him to design her gown for her Venice wedding to George Clooney last month. Not surprisingly, Amal’s silhouette — an off-the-shoulder, A-line gown with a floral lace overlay (Alamuddin’s boasted 14 yards of Chantilly lace) — informed most of de la Renta‘s latest fall lineup. He also played with shorter looks; a cotton eyelet tea-length dress and a silk faille trumpet gown with a cutaway hem added a youthful charm. And for brides who want to infuse tradition with a little faux-homespun craft, de la Renta showed a ballgown in filigree-embroidered macramé with long, detachable sleeves.
