Pronovias 2016 Fall Bridal Collection

For Pronovias’ first runway show in New York, designer Hervé Moreau was inspired by stories of different women with different types of bodies. Using lightweight fabrics such as Chantilly lace and silk Mikado to emphasize fluidity and movement, he celebrated the female form in sensual mermaid silhouettes cut close to the body, many with elongated trains and sexy, open backs. The show encompassed looks from the company’s signature collection as well as the Atelier Pronovias label, the latter notable for a few crisp, modern looks in silk crepe, some with sheer mesh and intricately embroidered bodices.

Even Moreau’s ballgowns of which there were only a few evoked a spirit of lightness.
