Rochas Resort Collection for Fashion show Paris 2017
“Sensual innocence” was the seemingly contradictory theme creative director Alessandro dell’Acqua explored for Rochas this season. Dresses exuded a delicate femininity, executed in featherweight fabrics and with ruffles or detailed plissés soleils, like the lace intarsia and the flower appliqués that decorated one side of flowing frock in cotton muslin. It was a sweetness combined with seductive features: plunging V-necks, side slits and dropped shoulders.
While Dell’Acqua’s signature neutral palette whites, powder tones was in evidence, it was enhanced by flashes of color, especially vibrant in a calf-length red dress decorated with white flowers and an apron-style blue taffeta gown with a dramatic shoulder bow detail.
A few tomboyish looks tempered the girlyness. Case in point: knee-length white trousers shown with a Lurex blouse and tailored cashmere coat.
