Theia 2016 Fall Bridal Collection

In his bridal collections, Theia creative director Don O’Neill has traditionally whisked his girl away into a romantic, fairytale-like world filled with beautiful, intricate, relatively classic gowns. But for fall, he switched gears. “I’m tired of playing it safe,” he said before the start of his runway show. “I wanted to do something different and unexpected.” Mission accomplished. Inspired by the foggy haze of a Twenties opium den,O’Neill transformed his Theia bride into one that is oh-so naughty.

He did so with the slipdress, giving the lingerie-inspired look the bridal treatment in everything from a sleek bias-cut number to an intricate glass-embroidered gown. Breaking with tradition,O’Neill also showed some poppy red numbers as well as a few racy lace dresses that were completely transparent and left very little to the imagination.
