Started on August 16, 2010 till August 22, 2010, Oslo Fashion Week is showcasing its latest Spring/Summer Collection 2011, in which a huge number of Norwegian fashion designers are participating to promote Norwegian talent like fashion label Moods or Norway also presented its Spring/Summer collection in Copenhagen Fashion Week 2011 a clothing company Venti Uno presenting its collection by designer Nadya Khamitskaya and the famous designer Kristar Design also the very splended participant of OFW while the other designer are Fam Irvoll a favorite with Norwegian celebrities, Irvoll also counts Katy Perry, Pixie Geldof and the equally outrageous Lady Gaga, amongst her fans while the famous designer Bjorn Borg, White Baron were also there to present their collection.
Since its inception in February 2004, Oslo Fashion Week is arranged twice a year in February and August to set Norwegian design in an international context.
Oslo Fashion Week focuses on a humanitarian cause, In the official opening night, an award ceremony is also celebrated in which awards and prizes are given to best designers. HRH Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway was the first recipient of the award for best Ambassador for Norwegian Fashion Design.
