Fashion weeks are a great way of getting together and admiring the classy creations of designers. They are the most glamorous event of the year that gather hype, sponsorships and are the best way of launching a new brand. All the new trends and fashion predictions are made in these fashion runways. Designers work for months to come up with new trends, themes and ideas for their show. Usually a fashion week lasts for 5-7 days or longer depending on the number of designers participating. Each designer gets a chance and the platform to show off his individual expertise.
London fashion week is one of the biggest events of the year that both the consumer and the big flag ship stores wait for. Celebrities from all walks of life are invited as they show off their glitz and glamour on the red carpet. After the show parties are a big part of this event too. Everyone who is a ‘who is who’ is invited as the guest lists are piled up.
Today Designerz Central has picked celebrities from different events of London fashion week and traced their choice of clothing.
Victoria Beckham is usually on top of the guest list of all the events. Her choice of clothing is immaculate. She has managed to keep her niche over years and years. The former spice girl does not stop anywhere. From head to toe she managed to keep her grip on the best. How could she stay back from the festivities of London Fashion Week! She wore a black knee length dress to the event. Victoria Beckham looked young and vibrant. Her confident added the extra oomph to her plain black dress.
Claudia Schiffer needs no introduction. She too enjoyed a private Vogue dinner during London Fashion Week. She wore an unusual green color which had black polka and black matching tights But she lacked that glamorous look in the printed top. She looked more like a house wife ready for a coffee party.
Naomi Campbell attended Nick Knight’s Show Studio Opening Party. Her makeup was immaculate. The dress she chose could have been better. It was short and dull gold in color. Liv Tyler, at London Fashion Week, decided to wear a shirt that was far too short. The clutch she was carrying was totally unmatched and made no sense. The shoes had platforms and seemed too uncomfortable.
Taylor Swift attended the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2010 show. Taylor wore a red dress and Stuart Weitzman heels.
Alicia Keys attended the Fifth Avenue Global Flagship Opening celebration at Tommy Hilfiger Fifth Avenue She looked like a true rock star in her purple jacket and black jeans with purple glasses to match.
Frieda Pinto attended the Burberry show in a yellow Burberry dress and was stylish for a change! Leighton Meester attended the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 runway show. She did not manage to catch much attention in her white trousers and electric blue shirt. The shirt had a drooping neckline and was far too revealing.
Hillary Duff chose to attend a party on the rooftop. She appeared in a frilly black dress that looked chic with matching handbag and shoes.
Coco, Ice-T and Melyssa Ford attended the Baby Phat & KLS Collection Spring 2010 at Roseland Ballroom. No comments for them. They are far too outrageous to be counted in the style line.
Lady Gaga looked really weird in her red streaks and a mask that was totally inappropriate for the occasion.
Madonna, the style queen stood out in her black jacket. Model Marisa Miller appeared at the Herve Leger Spring 2010 Fashion Show. The short blue dress she picked was unusual and enhanced her figure. The mini dress complemented her long lean legs.
The dominating color of the London fashion week was black. Most of the celebrities walked the red carpet in black and managed to leave their mark in their safe choice of color.
