Guests At Couple’s Home Makes Horrifying Discovery After Hearing Child’s Cry In The Middle Of The Night

Two people are in jail because a woman said she saw them hurt two kids. A woman told the cops that she had spent the night at the home of Jamie Goodin and Jacob Baker when she saw the abuse.

The woman says that while she was at the house, she saw Goodin put a pillow over her 7-month-old daughter’s face to keep her from crying. The woman says she stepped in and took the pillow off the baby.

Jennifer Wardlow, a police sergeant, said, “She said she saw a woman put a pillow over a small baby and try to suffocate the baby.”

She also told cops that she heard Goodin tell one of her kids that she would “break her neck” if she didn’t shut up and leave her alone.

Later, the witness told DHS officials that she also saw Baker point a black BB gun at one of the kids and almost shoot her in the face. He is said to have said that the child was “the work of Satan” and that she should die.

“Through this investigation, we found out that not only did this happen, but that threats were made while BB guns were pointed at the kids,” Sgt. Wardlow said.

A police report says that Goodin and Baker told the woman that they had locked up one of their children for hours at a time so that they could “shoot up” methamphetamine. She told the police: The home of Goodin and Baker is a “drug house.”

She says that she finally asked Goodin for permission to take the two kids for a walk. She told the cops that she had to get food for both kids because they were “starving.” The woman called the cops while out with the kids to tell them what was going on.

A police report said that the 4-year-old girl seemed to be afraid of her mother and other people in the house. She allegedly told an officer, “Jake is really mean to me and hurts me.”

When help came, the children were taken to the hospital right away. Police were told by EMSA that the baby seemed to be starved. She also had a few scrapes and the “worst case of diaper rash they had ever seen.” A subdural hematoma was also found by the CT scan.

“We found out at the hospital that the 7-month-old had some kind of brain bleed, which is a serious head injury,” said Sgt. Wardlow. Then, the police went to the suspects’ house and asked the mother where her kids were.

She told cops at first that her kids were with a friend. A police report says that she later changed the name to her sister and then said she didn’t know the person’s name. Goodin had trouble telling police officers the names and birthdays of her children when they asked her.

Police say she quickly told them the name and information about one of her children, but at first, she didn’t know the other child’s name or birthday. She was eventually able to give that information to the police.

“It’s a very sad situation, but it’s clear that they’re better off now,” Sgt. Wardlow said. “It’s possible if she [the woman who helped the kids] hadn’t called. I mean, who knows how much longer these kids would have had to live in this place? “They could have been hurt worse or even killed,” said Wardlow.

One cop saw that Goodin couldn’t stop moving around and looked like he was on some kind of dangerous drug. Goodin was arrested on two counts of child abuse and put in the Oklahoma County Jail.

Baker was also put in jail. He was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail and charged with two counts of having CDS around a child. When people heard the news, they took to social media to say what they thought and how they felt.

“Thank God someone helped them and stopped the abuse,” one person wrote. Another user wrote, “I hope those kids find a good, loving home to grow up in and have great lives.”
