Doubts Raised over ‘iPhone 13’ Quad-Camera Rumor

Prominent leaker Jon Prosser has provided reason to feel ambiguous on a leak claiming to detail the camera layout of the “iPhone 13,” saying that there’s a “0% possibility” of that layout in the 2021 flagship.

On May 28, a picture was shared on Twitter by a leaker known as “Fudge” demonstrating what they depicted was the planned of the “iPhone 13.” Rather than a triple-camera setup, as utilized in the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, Fudge claimed Apple would rather change to a four-lens arrangement, with an additional LiDAR module below the knock itself.

In answer of the picture, Jon Prosser posted a post on Twitter to give an example was “not genuine,” and that the layout for the “iPhone 13” or “12S” would be similar for the “iPhone 12.”

In light of a query from a follower about how the first posting of the rumor hedged bets by signifying it may not be true this right off the product’s development, Prosser included “we’re talking 0% possibility of this being it.” Prosser also included there “was no reason to post this picture.”

Fudge asserted the “iPhone 13” will have a 64-megapixel wide lens camera with 1x optical and 6x advanced zooms, a 40-megapixel camera with 3x to 5x optical and 15 to 20x zoom, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide with 0.25x “optical zoom,” and a 40-megapixel anamorphic lens point a 2.1:1 ratio/proportion.

Assuming valid, this would represent speak to a significant growth in camera for Apple, as the iPhone 11 Pro’s cameras all utilization 12-megapixel sensors.

Current rumors for the “iPhone 12” recommend it could acquire the LiDAR sensor from the fourth- generation iPad Pro, giving it back mounted depth sensing. There has been the suggestion of an improved camera module with greater and bigger sensors and changes to the camera components.
