A place of vernal charm to fill your heart and eyes, with an irresistible beauty of iridescent colors and mystical serenity! The name Fairy Meadows is part of the legend that fairies have their heaven on this exotic plateau, located at the base of Nanga Parbat in Pakistan.
Fairy Meadows, with its breath-taking beauty and gigantic view of Nanga Parbat – The King of the Mountains – is extremely hard to absorb by the human eye; and one feel a total state of awe, excitement and worthlessness in front of the beauty and spiritual mystery of this place.
Fairy Meadows have always been a source of enchantment for back packers, climbers, wildlife researchers, photographers, painters and above all nature and adventure lovers. The pine forests situated at the base of the killer mountain are one of the most virgin forests in the world famous for innumerable number of birds and wildlife.
The lustrous green meadow blooming with myriads of colorful flowers ends at the base of icy white Nanga Parbat, the seventh highest mountain in the world which is also called the ‘Killer Mountain’.
At a distance of eight minutes hike from the Fairy Meadows is the tourists resort called Fairy Meadows Cottages, having the fascinating view of Nanga Parbat. Here tourists can pitch their own tents or, they can hire tents. Dining area & kitchen are located adjacent to camping site. Luxurious baths can be reached very comfortably from cabins & tents. The whole area is demarcated with a controlled access and the tourists are free to enjoy the privacy within the vicinity. The best time to come here is from March to October. However, accommodating facilities are provided throughout the year. The area in front of the Fairy Meadow is called ‘Fairy Palace’ because of its ethereally enchanting beauty. It was names by the famous Japanese photographer, Fujita Heroki.
The most adventurous yet fun-filled hikes from Fairy Meadows are to Beyal Camp & the Base Camp of Nanga Parbat. There are friendly and experienced mountain guides available at all times for your luxury and comfort. Breathe the purity of nature and tantalize your senses with the heart-arresting magnificent sights of adventure on these tracks. All kinds of Pakistani and European fresh cuisines are available in cottages.
