Glasses can compliment your personality if they are used right. Choose them with attention and car

Glasses have a dual purpose in life. They are a necessity for some and a fashion statement for few. Choosing the right pair of glasses depends on the shape of your face, hairstyle, colour and personality. Before you buy yourself pair of glasses pull your hair back and inspect your face shape in front of the mirror.

Oval faces are so balanced that they can carry any type of frame. A long, thin face may seem wider and shorter with larger frames that come in round or triangular shapes. Or try a wide, rectangular shape if you wish your face doesn’t look long and thin. Colored frames with embellishment near the sides also broaden your face. Butterfly shaped glasses are also a stylish option for such people.

Try round frames made of thin metal to soften the look of a square face. If you have a wide forehead and cheeks with an angular chin the square, rectangular and geometric shapes will add soft curves to your face.

If you have a round face avoid round frames. It makes the face look larger. Go for boxy or rectangular frames instead.

A heart-shaped face, which has a wide forehead that angles down to a small chin, can be balanced with a frame that is wider at the bottom as compared to the top. Dramatic cheekbones look more enhanced in upswept styles like cat eye. They emphasize the cheek bones. Rimless styles allow cheek bones to stand out as well.

Broad forehead, wide cheek bones that narrow down to a small chin are complemented by narrow, round frames that soften the forehead.

Don’t make a hasty decision while buying yourself glasses. Study yourself and only pick what goes with you.
