Call it Spring Fever! Once the warm weather arrives and the tulips start to bloom, I always get the urge to go out and buy a pretty little dress, and with Mother’s Day coming up I have the perfect occasion to wear it. Today I’m happy to be partnering with Picadilly Canada to bring you my new spring dress for Mother’s Day.
Pink! It’s such a soft, feminine color and it oozes love, warmth, and feelings of family and happiness. Plus, it just happens to be one of the most popular colors for Spring 2017!

I can’t say I’m as much of a pink girl as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, but I do love a good shot of pink my wardrobe. Pink does wonders for your complexion, ( it gives aging skin gives a nice, soft glow), and it just makes you feel so light and pretty.
When I wear pink, I like my pink styled in a very clean, modern way. I’m not that big on frills or traditional flowery prints, especially pink ones because sometimes, they can feel a little “too sweet” and kind of junior for me.
1) The Faux Wrap Style– It’s clean, sleek, modern and fitted. I love the faux wrap look, and I think it is super flattering because it highlights your curves, but it doesn’t feel tight. This dress is stretchy, so it moves with you, which means it is also ultra comfy.
2) Pink combined with Black gives this dress a very modern feel – The addition of black makes it a little edgy, which translates to more youthful, (but not like you are trying to be young).

The black color blocking at the neckline, down the shoulders, across the waist, and down the skirt magically create a slimming effect.
3) The Graphic Print- I love a print with a bit of punch. This one has a really interesting painterly quality to it, which makes it look like this is a contemporary art piece. It’s original, and a little eye catching.
The last great reason I like this Pink Faux Wrap Dress is the price. I don’t wear as many dresses as I used to so, I don’t want to spend a fortune on a dress. This one retails for $125 USD which I thought was reasonable, especially when I know it’s versatile enough to wear to other events, like a school graduation, to a special work meeting (yes it’s pink but still business-like), or just out to dinner with my husband and a few other couples on a Saturday night. -fabulousafter40
