Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi says she is much more grown-up than a few years ago. She’s had two babies, she’s getting married at the end of the month and she’s no longer on “The Jersey Shore.” No wonder she describes her third scent, Snooki Love, as more mature.
“The scent is definitely sexy and it’s more mature-smelling than my other scents,” said Polizzi, whose fragrance licensee is Five Star Fragrance Co. “I figured, why not have it that way because I’m a mom now.” Created as a gift for her bridesmaids and guests, Snooki Love’s packaging revolves around her black-and-gold Gatsby-themed nuptials, and the notes are an ode to some of the flowers that will be displayed at her wedding.
“I wanted to add some flowers I was actually using for my wedding, such as the pink peonies and white peonies,”she said, mispronouncing the name of the flower. “I wanted it to resemble my wedding and also my life.” Devised by Fragrance Resources’ Steve Demercado, the eau de parfum blends top notes of Italian bergamot, fruity pink peony and sparkling cassis, while the heart consists of spring poppy, pink hydrangea and orange flower with a base of creamy white amber, Indonesian sandalwood, blond woods and silky musk.
According to Five Star Fragrance, Polizzi’s last scent, Snooki Couture, which launched in 2012, sold out within a few hours of her two HSN appearances and exceeded the company’s expectations. But does she have the same appeal following the demise of “The Jersey Shore” two years ago? Snooki Love priced at $55 for the 100-ml. bottle will be sold exclusively on HSN on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 14 at 2 a.m. But the fragrance isn’t Polizzi’s only focus. Besides planning her wedding where she will wear a gown by Eve of Milady for the ceremony and another dress for the reception (she can’t recall the designer) Polizzi is busy filming the last season of “Snooki & JWoww” and taking care of her kids, two-year-old Lorenzo and one-month-old Giovanna. Plus, she just returned from her bachelorette party in Miami.
“I’m definitely still recovering,” she said. “I can’t hang like I used to.” Motherhood must have really taken a toll on her.
