Street style stars are known for their fearless approach to fashion, and often the innovative ways they mix colours, prints, and textures are beyond the day-to-day wardrobes of your average woman. But one look we saw cropping up again and again at the September shows was a little bit easier to re-create. Instead of clashing hues and layering up all manner of exotic prints, this season, a lot of show attendees picked one colour and stuck to it across their whole look. Though they may have thrown in a bright bag or some statement shoes, when it came to their overall look, one colour reigned supreme, and in most cases it was white, cream, red, or pink. The joy of re-creating this at home is the items don’t have to be exactly the same hue; within the mix of garments (try blazers, blouses, long skirts, and floor-sweeping flares), they will still blend together perfectly. The result? A pulled-together, expensive-looking outfit that takes a lot less trial and error than mixing stripes, spots, and shimmer. Don’t believe us? Just take a look for yourself!
