The top colors for fall 2014 are fun and gorgeous. I can’t wait to update my fall wardrobe and play around with these amazing colors. According to Pantone, designers are breaking away from gender specific colors and shifting towards clothing that have a more artful presence.
"This is a season of untypical colors-more reflective of the imagination and ingenuity, which makes for an artful collection of colors and combinations not bound by the usual hues for fall,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
Radiant Orchid – A captivating and adaptable purple shade. It’s also Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year!
Royal Blue – An evocative and dignified blue shade that’s versatile and provides more complexity and excitement than the average navy.
Aluminum – A futuristic stainless steel shade that serves as a complex neutral.
Aurora Red – A sophisticated red shade that adds verve and spark.
Misted Yellow – A shade that adds a ray of sunlight and warmth and alludes to the promise of spring to come.
Sangria – An exotic red that evokes a sense of glamorous adventures and faraway destinations.
Mauve Mist – A romantic and elegant purple shade, reminiscent of the deco era and stimulates a sense of femininity and empowerment.
Cognac – A classy and cultured brown that’s ideal for evening wear. It’s also prevalent in prints this fall season.
Bright Cobalt – It offers a slight twist on the traditional cobalt and is a favorite among designers this fall.
Cypress – A majestic and powerful green that’s more foresty than most shades.
