Now, New Idea has learnt that the 14-year-old – who is believed to be more introspective and quiet than her rambunctious siblings – has been “growing closer” to Brad’s first wife Jennifer Aniston.
In fact, amid whispers that Brad and Jen are getting married again, our insider reveals Shiloh has been escaping to her future stepmother’s home in LA’s Bel Air whenever she needs respite from the “crazy” at Angelina’s Los Feliz estate.
“Shiloh prefers peace and quiet, and with her brothers and sisters roaring around and her mum juggling a thousand things at once, Shiloh just needed a place to relax,” says a source.
“She confided this in Jen a few weeks back, when they were both visiting Brad. Jen has always had a soft spot for Shiloh and feels sorry for her being stuck between two parents, and told her she was always welcome to come and spend time at her place. Shiloh jumped at the chance and Brad was all for it.”
We’re told Shiloh visits Jen’s home at least once a week, where she plays with the 51-year-old Friends star’s dogs Sophie and Clyde, and bonds with Jen while making homemade pizzas on her patio.
“At first she was just tagging along with Brad when he stopped by, but lately, she’s been going alone,” claims the source. “It’s clear Shiloh is beginning to go more to Jen for advice and increasingly sees her as a significant adult in her life.
“I imagine Angelina can’t be too pleased that it’s Jen playing stepmother to her child, but with everything else going on in her life, she may not have noticed the shift.”
Those with front-row seats to the Jolie-Pitt-Aniston triangle predict trouble on the horizon given Angelina, 45, has made it clear she intends to move to London once the case is closed – and bring Shiloh, Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, and 12-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with her.
“Shiloh will be devastated to move so far from Jen,” says a source. “No amount of pleading would change Ange’s mind – in fact if Shiloh told the truth about why she wanted to stay, namely to be closer to Brad and Jen, her mum would be more determined than ever to split them up.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if getting Shiloh away from Jen and Brad was one of her motivating factors to move overseas, not that she’d ever admit it.”
Meanwhile, news of Jen’s special bond with Shiloh comes hot on the heels of her and Brad reuniting for a virtual live reading of Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
The pair delighted fans, along with their co-stars Sean Penn, Morgan Freeman and Julia Roberts, with their brazen flirting and obvious chemistry.
“Hey, Aniston, how you doin?” a grinning Brad asked Jen, to which she replied, “Hey, Pitt, good, honey, how are you?” while twirling her hair.
