The pair apparently split at the end of 2019, but the news was not made public until now. An insider told Us Weekly that the pair have ended things after nine years.
The actors did not spend New Year’s Eve together, which raised suspicion amongst fans of the couple. The pair started seeing each other in September of 2011.
Austin has not featured in Vanessa’s life in recent weeks. Vanessa flew off to Vals in Switzerland without her actor beau by her side. Another telling sign was that he didn’t appear to be at her 31st birthday on December 13th.
Instead, she celebrated it with her younger sister, Stella Hudgens, who surprised her on the set of filming Netflix’s The Princess Switch: Switched Again!
The last time Vanessa and Austin were seen together was at Halloween. It was also the last time Austin appeared on her Instagram.
The pair were dressed in gothic costumes alongside the former couple’s dog, Darla in a post that she captioned: ‘??Happy Halloween from my family to yours??’.
While Austin has most recently shared a snap of Vanessa on social media last July when they attended the premiere of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
This is not the first high profile relationship the Netflix star has been in, she previously dated her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron from 2005 until 2010.
Neither Vanessa nor Austin have spoken out publicly about the news.
