Despite having the world’s finest designers on speed dial, celebrities still manage to get it oh-so-wrong on the red carpet On a night that oozed sophistication and glamour, GQ held its annual awards ceremony in London with a star-studded guestlist. Black tie appeared to be the order of the day, with stunning floor-length gowns, plunging necklines and blinging accessories with Bella Hadid, Ashley Graham and Daisy Lowe all turning heads for the right reasons.
But not everyone got it right. Fashion muse Josephine de la Baume showed off her eccentric style at the 2016 GQ Awards on Tuesday night as she arrived with her husband Mark Ronson, but sadly her blue patterned jumpsuit didn’t quite fit the mood of the night. Looking more like a costume suitable for a circus, the French actress accessorised with a rich purple choker and aquamarine cross pendant, but the ridiculously long trouser legs and sleeves made her look drowned in the fabric.

Ellie Goulding rare gets it wrong on the red carpet, but she wasn’t able to pull off the fluffy rabbit look. Opting for a mini-dress to show off her gym-honed pins (who can blame her?), Ellie chose a rather unusual sheer fluffy gown that might look more suitable on a homemade angel on the top of a Christmas tree. That being said she rocked it with absolutely full confidence.
Camilla Kerslake
Classical singer Camilla Kerslake took it right back to the 70s in a metallic shimmering gown as she joined her boyfriend Chris Robshaw at the annual event at the Tate Modern. A bit of glitz is never a bad thing, but the blonde beauty looked as if she was flanked in ill-fitting chain-mail and her blusher was far too heavy.

As a model Lily Cole wore the most gorgeous gowns, so we’re not quite sure how she picked this medieval number. The flame-haired beauty walked the red carpet in a deep blue gown which was cinched in around her tiny waist with floral applique. Unlike many of the other guests, Winnie Harlow appeared to shun the ‘black tie’ dress code that others followed as she rocked up in a plunging military-style dress. The model had her pins on display as the blue jacket-dress skimmed the tops of her thighs, which made it one of the most daring looks of the night. While this look might have worked at a fashion show – a glitzy red carpet bash, it did not.
