The, oh so sexy, one-shoulder look is big for this spring/summer 2009. Lots of designers have given the two-sleeve look the cold shoulder. For evening wear and special occasions, the one-shoulder dress is already a winner and destined to take over from bandeau bust line prom styles. Also look out for this one-shoulder design amongst bridal fashion collections.
On spring/summer 2009‘s catwalks the one-shoulder dress sees a futuristic revamp for the end of the decade. Now one-shoulder can be a take on elements of the cut-out trend revealing an additional glimpse of flesh. Rachel Bilson has also embraced the look alongside Blake Lively at the recent Teen Choice Awards. Both wore simple one-shoulder mini-dresses, which stuck out because of their bold monotone use of colour and elegant detail. Brightly colored shirts with a large graphic design on the front and only one-shoulder are in.
Many people have worn one-shoulder dress with tank tops underneath in the past so that they could have a strap that was a different color. Avoid this, and show off a little bit of skin instead this spring/summer 2009.
