Kyleigh Kuhn, Tali Lennox and Opening Ceremony’s Kate Foley are expected to be on hand Thursday night to help O&M celebrate its new Meatpacking district salon. DJ Albie Alexxander will be handling the controls in the unconventional Little West 12th Street space.
Aside from offering ammonia-free hair products, clients are seated at a large wooden communal table where they can use their lap tops, sip Champagne or get hand-and-arm massage, during color treatments. Cameron Diaz, Miranda Kerr and Sophie Monk are among the fans of the Australian company which stands for Original & Mineral.
Kuhn isn’t afraid to show her roots when it comes to family. She started the Roots of Peace Penny Campaign for the global humanitarian organization that her mother Heidi started in 1997 to help eradicate land mines in war-torn countries. Recently Kuhn helped compile a book of photographs featuring some of the children who received assistance from all the pennies she helped raise.
