Beyoncé and Jay Z's Twins Remain in the Hospital With "Minor" Health Issue

The internet is rejoicing after the arrival of Beyoncé and Jay Z’s twins a boy and a girl but even though she gave birth to them earlier this week, doctors have not allowed the newborn babies to leave the hospital just yet.

Bey welcomed babies No. 2 and No. 3 with her husband on Monday, June 12, in a Los Angeles-area hospital, according to TMZ. But the twins have a “minor issue,” and they’ve remained in the hospital for nearly a week after their birth. Not much is known about the health issue that is causing doctors to keep the babies under hospital care, but sources revealed that Beyoncé, 35, is doing well and she also remained in the hospital with her babies. The twins — whose names have yet to be announced — are expected to be okay, but it is unclear when mommy and babies will be able to go home. Meanwhile, the “Formation” singer’s father Mathew Knowles took to social media to confirm reports of his grandchildren’s birth.

He posted a sweet “Happy Birthday” message to the twins on Instagram, signed “granddad.” His daughter married her hip hop star hubby in 2008, and the couple also shares five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together. A source close to the family-of-five said that they are overjoyed with the arrival of their new bundles of joy. “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends,” the insider told People. Back in February, the former Destiny’s Child member announced her second pregnancy with a gorgeous maternity photo fit for a queen and she’s definitely treating her babies like royalty! Sources previously revealed to Life & Style that Bey and Jay spared no expense for their little ones and they splurged on a $500,000 nursery.
