Kevin Federline, along with his two sons from his previous marriage to Britney Spears, is preparing to move their family to Hawaii.

The announcement came through Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, in a letter shared with TMZ earlier this month. The letter publicly asked Spears, who is the mother of their minor children, 17-year-old Sean Preston and 16-year-old Jayden James, for her consent regarding the proposed move to the Aloha State.

Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, responded to the public letter on May 31, indicating that the pop star has given her consent and will not interfere with Federline’s plans.

Federline and Spears were married from 2004 to 2006 and have since co-parented their children. However, there have been challenges in their relationship with Sean Preston and Jayden expressing their concerns about the attention and love they receive from their mother. In September 2022, Jayden stated in an interview with the Daily Mail that he felt his mother did not show enough attention and love to him and his brother, leading to emotional trauma.

Spears responded to her son’s allegations at the time through an Instagram statement, explaining her efforts to be the best person she could be under the conservatorship. She expressed her love for her children and hoped for open dialogue and understanding in the future.

Following the family dynamics and controversies, both Sean Preston and Jayden did not attend Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari in June 2022. However, Britney has been vocal about her love for her sons and her desire for reconciliation.

While the details and reasons behind the family’s relocation to Hawaii are not provided, the consent from Britney Spears indicates her support for Kevin Federline’s plans.
