TOWIE: Yazmin Oukhellou Stable in Hospital after Car Crash in Turkey That Killed Friend

The Only Way Is Essex co-star Lauren Goodger and British guy Jake McLean’s ex-girlfriend Lauren McLean have both paid tribute to him on social media. An update on Yazmin Oukhellou’s condition has now been given by a representative for her.

After a rumored automobile accident in Turkey in which her companion was reportedly killed, The Only Way Is Essex star Yazmin Oukhellou is “stable and recovering in hospital after surgery,” according to her spokesman to Sky News.

Oukhellou and Jake McLean were reportedly riding in a car that crashed into a cliff near the Bodrum resort.

Another TOWIE star and McLean’s former partner Lauren Goodger is among many who have paid tribute to him online.

As per news.sky, her representative provided an update on Oukhellou’s health, saying: Yazmin is stable and recovering in hospital after surgery.

“Yazmin and her family have requested privacy at this time.”

Oukhellou made her TOWIE debut in 2017, and the reality TV program that chronicles the highs and lows of a group of friends living in Essex also included her romance with co-star James Lock.

According to reports, she and McLean have been dating intermittently since 2021.

Goodger, who dated McLean for several years from 2012, shared a tribute on Instagram on Monday.

“RIP Jake. I have no words right now. My thoughts are with your family & friends,” she said.

Harry Derbidge, a fellow TOWIE star, shared photos of himself and Oukhellou on his Instagram stories along with a message wishing her a swift recovery.

On the last Instagram photo, Oukhellou herself released at the end of June, hundreds of her fans left supportive comments for the celebrity, including former Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan Wallace.

“Praying for you, worried sick, you are so precious,” Horgan Wallace wrote.

Essex DJ and producer Rick Live also commented: “Sending love and prayers. You can do this Yaz.”

A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and is in contact with the local authorities.

“We are also providing support to the family of a British woman who has been hospitalized.”
